Renee Zellweger: Author

Texas Actress-waif Renee Zellweger wants to be a writer, she's even moving to the New England countryside -- the ghosts of Dickinson? -- according to The Sun:

"STUNNING Renee Zellweger has revealed that she wants to take a break from acting so she can focus on her writing.

"The Bridget Jones star, who recently split from White Stripes star Jack White, told W magazine:

"'I dont think that, as a creative person, you have that much to contribute when your life experiences are limited to those you have while you?re emulating someone else.'

"'So I've asked people not to expect me to walk on to a set any time soon.'

"The movie star says she hopes to spend more time writing 'fiction, non-fiction, whatever I'm feeling when I pick up the pen.'"

The Corsair has gotten -- wink, wink -- some copies of her prose:

An Ode to Jack White
by Renee

I just don't know what to do with myself,
Corpse-like pallor secrets a rock and rollish violence
How much softer is a woman's kiss?
--To indie-alt-country rock pretense?

Acting Versus Writing
by Renee

Acting's day, but writing's night,
The celluloid that magnifies the cellulite,
The weekly tabloids cripple,
A sting, that acting,
And now we'd rather scribble

On Jim Carrey
by Renee

We used to like the men who made us laugh,
Now, by a half, we propose,
We prefer men who write prose

On Miramax
by Renee

Being Harvey's Golden Girl is like,
Being the head cheerleader,

Heck, everybody wants to see her,
Everybody wants to be her,
Everybody, my dear, except her

...and all that Jazz
