Ever wondered how the dogs in the Michael Vick case turned out? From Elissa Jones, Best Friends, Manager of Special Projects emails The Corsair:

"The 22 rescued Vick dogs in the care of Best Friends Animal Society are all making progress. They are certainly all individuals, so are progressing at their own pace. One of the dogs featured in the September 5 episode of National Geographic's season premiere of Dogtown, Cherry has made amazing progress since the show finished filming. He's no longer shy with his caregivers and people that he knows and he has made some doggies friends and has a supervised play date nearly every day. The dogs have been at Best Friends for 7 months now and are still being worked with and are still making progress."

Among other things, Best Friends presently has a petition to the Obama family (adopt, don't buy), which has been mulling the possibility of getting a dog should he make the White House. And the National Geographic Channel's Dogtown two-hour season's premiere is Friday, September 5, at 9 PM.
